Lila’s Fear
Once upon a time, there was a shy trapeze artist named Lila. She loved performing at the circus and swinging through the air on her trapeze, but she had one big problem - she was afraid of heights!
Every time she tried to perform in front of an audience, her knees would start shaking and her heart would race with fear. It made it hard for her to focus on doing all the amazing tricks that she knew how to do.
One day while practicing alone, Lila met an old acrobat named Mr. Leo. He could see that Lila was struggling with something and offered his help.
“Hello there little one,” he said kindly. “I couldn’t help but notice you seem upset.”
Lila looked up from where she sat on the ground below her trapeze ropes and saw that this friendly-looking man had approached her.
“I’m just scared,” replied Lila softly.
“Scared? What are you scared of?” asked Mr.Leo curiously.
Lila told him about how nervous and anxious she felt every time she went up high on the trapeze or performed in front of others - even though being a performer is what makes her happiest!
Mr.Leo listened carefully before offering some advice: “Well now don’t you worry my dear- I can teach you some tricks that will have you feeling confident in no time!”
And so began their journey together…
Mr. Leo’s helpful lessons
Lila was nervous and unsure of herself when she first met Mr. Leo, but he quickly put her at ease with his warm smile and kind words. He could see that Lila had the potential to be a great trapeze artist, but she needed help overcoming her fear of heights.
So, Mr. Leo started with some simple breathing exercises to help Lila relax and calm down before performing on the trapeze. He showed her how to take deep breaths in through her nose and out through her mouth, slowly counting to five on each inhale and exhale.
Next, Mr. Leo taught Lila visualization techniques that would help her focus on positive outcomes rather than negative ones like falling or failing. He told Lila to imagine herself swinging gracefully through the air like a bird or floating gently on a cloud.
Lila found these exercises challenging at first because they were so different from what she was used to doing when practicing for performances, but as time went by she became more comfortable with them which helped improve her confidence level too.
Mr.Leo always made sure that their practice sessions were fun and playful so that Lila didn’t feel too pressured or overwhelmed while learning new skills - sometimes even incorporating games into their routine! This approach really seemed to work for both of them as they bonded over shared experiences while helping each other grow stronger together!
Learning from Experience
Mr. Leo sat down next to Lila and began sharing stories about his own experiences as a young acrobat. “When I was your age,” he said, “I was just as afraid of heights as you are now.”
Lila’s eyes widened in surprise. “Really?” she asked.
“Yes, really!” Mr. Leo laughed. “But over time, I learned that the key to mastering difficult tricks is practice and patience.”
He went on to tell Lila about all the times he had fallen off the trapeze or stumbled during a performance, but how each time he got back up and tried again until he succeeded.
Lila listened intently to Mr. Leo’s stories and felt inspired by his determination and perseverance.
The next day at practice, Lila put what she had learned from Mr. Leo into action. Though she still struggled with some of the new techniques at first, she didn’t give up.
Instead, she kept trying until gradually things started clicking into place for her - it wasn’t long before improvement started showing in her abilities on the trapeze!
“See? You’re doing great!” Mr.Leo cheered her on as they continued practicing together.
With every little success came more confidence for Lila - even when faced with challenging new moves - instead of being discouraged like before; she enjoyed learning something new every day!
Lila gains confidence with Mr. Leo’s help
Lila couldn’t believe how much she had improved since she started practicing with Mr. Leo. With each practice session, she felt more confident in herself and her abilities on the trapeze.
Mr. Leo always encouraged her, telling her that she was doing great and reminding her to use the breathing exercises and visualization techniques he taught her whenever she felt nervous or scared.
Even when Lila made mistakes or didn’t perform a trick perfectly, Mr. Leo was always there to offer constructive feedback and advice on how to improve.
As Lila gained more confidence, she began trying new tricks and moves that she never thought possible before. And with every success, the feeling of accomplishment grew stronger within her.
“Good job, Lila! You’re really starting to get the hang of this!” said Mr. Leo as he watched her swing gracefully from one end of the trapeze to another.
Lila beamed with pride at his words - it meant so much coming from someone who had been an acrobat for so many years!
As they wrapped up their practice for today, Lila knew that tomorrow would bring even greater challenges - but also greater opportunities for growth and development under Mr.Leo’s guidance!
Lila’s Big Performance
It was finally the day of Lila’s big performance in front of a packed circus tent! She had been practicing her trapeze routine for weeks with Mr. Leo, and she felt nervous but excited to show everyone what she could do.
As Lila climbed up the ladder to reach the top of the tent, her heart started beating faster and faster. But then she remembered everything that Mr. Leo had taught her about deep breathing and visualization.
Taking a few deep breaths, Lila closed her eyes and imagined herself swinging through the air with grace and ease like never before. When she opened them again, all of her fear had disappeared!
Lila swung on the trapeze with such confidence that it seemed as if there was no one else in the world except for her - performing just as gracefully as any adult acrobat!
The crowd roared with applause as they watched in amazement at how well Lila performed! Even though there were many people watching, nothing mattered more than doing something that made her feel proud.
Overcoming Fears
As soon as Lila landed safely back onto solid ground again after an exhilarating performance filled with twirls and flips - feeling proud knowing that anything is possible if we believe in ourselves!
She realized that anything is possible if you work hard enough to overcome your fears. It wasn’t easy getting here; it took lots of practice sessions where sometimes things didn’t go quite right or would be harder than expected- but now all those moments seem worth it because they helped make this moment happen today!
Before leaving backstage after putting away equipment used during our act together (with Mr.Leo), both stop to thank each other – he tells me I’m brave while I say how he has helped me so much along my journey from shy girl into a confident performer who isn’t afraid anymore!
Together they left smiling ear to ear, feeling proud of what they accomplished together.
